Country Region Entry

The Country Region entry tool is used to create and maintain Country Regions. Country Regions are states/provinces/territories used in setting up contact information for Candidates. Examples of Country Regions are “California” and “Ontario”.

Authorised users may create or modify Country Region records.

Country Region Entry is reached from the Main Menu, System → Country Region Entry

Special Filters

The Country Region entry grid has special filter controls in the title bar.

  • Include Expired Records by default is unchecked. This means Country Region records that have an Expiry Date prior to today are not displayed. When checked, all Country Region records (including expired) are displayed. Effective and Expiry Dates
  • Language Selector is used to display language specific fields for the Country Region records. The Title field for a Country Region is language specific. Selecting a different language from the selector displays the alternate language values for the title field in the Country Region grid.

Context Options

Right-clicking on a row in the Country Region grid will open a context menu.

Edit General

Navigates to the General edit page for the selected record. The Country Region general edit page allows users to edit general information for a Country Region record. Once changes are made the user can click the Save button in the bottom right hand corner to commit changes to the database. Note: User permissions might be restricted by Form permissions or the record being locked.

Tab Strip

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Country Region entry grid by clicking Selection tab. Audit will navigate to the Audit page and displays Audit information for the selected record.

Alternate Language Text

The Title field is language specific. To maintain alternate languages of the Title, select the alternate language from the Language selector in the title bar. Make your changes and click the Save button.

Country Region Fields

Field Description
Region ID Will populate automatically when the Country Region is created. Unique identifier of the Country Region.
Country ID The parent Country for the Region.
Title The title of the Country Region. This is a language specific field.
Code The two character code for the Country Region. Example: Ontario = ON
Sequence The sequence this Country Region will appear in a list of Country Regions. This can be used to prioritize an Country Regions in the list.
Time Zone Summer The Summer Time Zone for the Region. Example EDT or Eastern Daylight Savings Time
Time Zone Winter The Winter Time Zone for the Region. Example EST or Eastern Standard Time

Audit

Navigates to the Audit grid for the selected record.
