Allows the user to Calculate a Stats Results set based on the selected Exam answer key and selected Registrant responses from Exam Sessions.

Selecting Sessions

Calculations is a process of comparing the responses of Registrants against the Exam answer key. Each Exam Registrant is registered to an Exam session. So, to select Registrants to be calculated, the user must select Sessions to be calculated.

The Session Selection grid displays each Session, its count of registrants and the Scan Date, which is the most recent data a Candidate was added to the Session.

Sessions can be selected by clicking, shift clicking or ctrl-clicking rows in the Session selection grid. The grid The user can also click the Select All and Clear All buttons to select all Sessions or clear the Session selection respectively. The user can sue grid filtering and sorting controls and add or remove columns from the grid to narrow their selection. For more on grid navigation, click here. The Session selection grid only lists Sessions with Registration records.

Stats Result Set Title

Each calculated Stats set can have a user defined title associated with it so the user can more easily Identify the Stats Results set.

Stats Result Set Key

Calculations is a process of comparing the responses of Registrants against the Exam answer key. Items can have alternate keys that can be used for bonus calculations. By default the answer key 1 is selected.

Alternate Scoring

To Calculate Alternate Scores (including t-Scores) CE uses an AlternateBase, AlternateStDev and AlternateMean.

CE Supports several Alternate Scoring Systems. Depending on the Alternate Scoring System selected, these values are set, or they can be manually selected. All values in the grid below can be overridden by the end user. The “True” calculation is no Alternate Scores. The AlternateBase is initially blank. If no value is provided, then the ExamValueMax is used. See Alternate Scores for more.

The user can select the System of Alternate Scores which provides default values for the Alternate Base, Alternate mean and Alternate Standard Deviation for normalizing scores. The user can override these values by entering their own values.

Calculation Process

To start the Calculation process, click the Process Exam Results button.

This will navigate the user to a Calculations Processing page. Here, progress bars will indicate the phase and percent complete of the calculation process.

When complete, the user can click the hyperlink to process the Exam results with different Sessions, or can return to the Exam Entry tool.

Tab Strip

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Include/Exclude page, to the Mark Entry page, to the Graph page, to the Results page or the Maintenance page.
