The Exam pass edit page allows users to edit pass/fail information for an Exam record. Once changes are made the user can click the Save button in the bottom right hand corner to commit changes to the database. Note: User rights might be restricted by Form rights, Bank rights or the record being locked.

Exam Fields

Field Description
Exam ID Generated when the Exam is created. Unique identifier of the Exam.
Pass Mark The minimum value required to pass the Item.
Pass Type Possible values are Value Percent (candidate score as a percent is compared to Pass Mark as a percent) or Value Raw (candidates point total is compared to Exam Pass. Default is Value Raw.
Round TypeAffects whether Candidate's Exam score is rounded. The four round modes are:
None (default) which does not round the score
Round which rounds to the nearest whole number (.5 rounding to nearest even number) Ex 50.1 → 51, 51.5 → 52, 52.5 → 52
Round Up which always rounds up to the next whole number Ex 61.1 → 62
Round Down which always rounds dow to the previous whole number Ex 71.9 → 71
Mark VersionsOnly used by Marking Center (FIXME link)
AngoffA predicted difficulty for the Exam.
DurationUsed in online testing (FIXME link) to establish a maximum time (in minutes) to write the Exam.
GUIDGlobal Unique Identifier. Read only.
Use Scaled Score?If checked then exports of Exam result data will report on Candidate's Scaled Scores (FIXME link to stats pdf). If unchecked will report on Candidate's raw scores.
Use Subscore Percent?If checked then exports of Exam result data will report on Candidate's Section level Scores as a percentage. (FIXME link to stats pdf). If unchecked will report on Candidate's Section level as raw scores.

Item Value Max Essay/constructed response type Items have point values entered for the candidate scores. This is the maximum acceptable point value for this item. Example: and essay Item out of 15 points would have 15 as its Value Max.
Item Value Default Default score if not otherwise entered by mark entry or scan process. Default value is 0.
Weighting Multiplier that is applied to the Candidate's Item score. Typically this is used to Scale Item scores to a common denominator.
Item Time Used in online testing (FIXME link). Controls the maximum time (in minutes) the candidate can take to answer the item.
Item Pass The minimum value required to pass the Item.
Item Must Pass If checked, any Exam that uses this Item requires the Candidate to pass this item or they fail the Exam. Default false (unchecked)
Alternate Values If Skipped Item Writing supports up to 5 sets of answer key values. If Skipped 1-5 is the default value if the Candidate did not respond to a Multiple choice option. Typical use is for assigning a penalty (eg -0.5) for skipping an Item.
Alternate Other Item Writing supports up to 5 sets of answer key values. Other 1-5 is the default value for selecting an option if the option does not otherwise have its value specified.

Mark Version (Maximum) How many versions are available to be marked. Ex: 1 vs 3. When doing arbitration markings, this must be set to 3. Pass Mark The score a candidate must achieve to pass (either percentage or raw dictated by pass type). Pass Type Raw mark is the actual score on the exam. How many points they earned. The percentage is the number of points earned, divided by the total number of point multiplied by 100. Round Type Round up, round down, closest digit. GUID Global Unique Identifier. Used for security. Time The amount of time candidates have to write the exam (only applies to online exams).

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Exam entry grid Selection, to the Pass page, to the Notes and Custom page, to the Layout page or Document page.
