The Security banks edit page allows users to edit User permissions to access Banks. Banks are logical groupings of objects in CE that are used to segregate the data. Granting permissions to a Bank grants permissions to the User to access and maintain records in that Bank.

Users can have one of three levels of Bank permissions:

  • None - No access to the Bank.
  • Browse - The User has read only permissions to the Bank. Meaning they can view records and maintenance pages, but cannot create new records, expire records or make any changes to records.
  • Full - The User has full permissions to the Bank, meaning they can view records, create new records, expire records or update existing records.

The Security Banks edit grid shows the Bank name and the access Level (None, Browse, Full).

Modifying Access Level

To modify the access level of a Bank, right-click the row to open the context menu. Select None, Browse or Full.

Note: The user can also select multiple rows to apply the Access Level change to. All selected rows are affected when modifying the access level. To learn more about selecting records click here.

Selecting All Rows

To Select all rows click the check box in the grid's header row. Selecting all rows selects only the rows currently visible in the grid. So, if the grid had its rows filtered, only the filtered rows are selected.

Copying Another Users Permissions

Sometimes it is easier to copy another User's set of Bank permissions then to set them all individually. To copy another User's Bank permissions, select the User from the drop down list, then, click the Apply button.

Tab Strip

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Security User grid Selection, to the General page, to the Forms page or Roles page. Audit will navigate to the Audit page and displays Audit information for the selected record.
