Mark Entry
The Country Entry tool is used to create and maintain Countries. Countries are used in setting up contact information for Candidates.
Authorised users may create or modify Country records.
Country Entry is reached from the Main Menu, System → Country Entry
This takes the user to the Country entry grid. For more on grid navigation, click here.
Special Filters
The Country Entry grid has special filter controls in the title bar.
- Language Selector is used to display language specific fields for the Country records. The Title field for an Country is language specific. Selecting a different language from the selector displays the alternate language values for the title field in the Country grid.
Context Options
Edit General
Navigates to the General edit page for the selected record. The Country general edit page allows users to edit general information for a Country record. Once changes are made the user can click the Save button in the bottom right hand corner to commit changes to the database. Note: User rights might be restricted by Form rights or the record being locked.
Tab Strip
The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Country entry grid by clicking Selection tab.
Alternate Language Text
The Title field is language specific. To maintain alternate languages of the Title, select the alternate language from the Language selector in the title bar. Make your changes and click the Save button.
Country Fields
Field | Description |
---|---|
Country ID | Will populate automatically when the Country is created. Unique identifier of the Country. |
Title | The title of the Country. This is a language specific field. |
Code | Two character code for the Country. Example Canada=CA |
Phone Code | Long distance dialing prefix for Country |
Mail Code Mask | Used to set Zip/Postal Code for addresses in that Country |
ISO 3166 | ISO 3166 is the International Standard for country codes and codes for their subdivisions. The purpose of ISO 3166 is to define internationally recognised codes of letters and/or numbers that we can use when we refer to countries and subdivisions. |
Sequence | The sequence this Country will appear in a list of Countries. This can be used to prioritize an Countries in the list. |
Legal Tradition | Ties into legal tradition database. |
Audit
Navigates to the Audit grid for the selected record.
