Security Entry Users

The Security Users entry tool is used to create and maintain Users in CE. A Security User is an ID and password combination that grants permissions to CE. The User can have permissions to specific Forms (menu options), permissions to Banks or be a member of a Role which grants additional permissions. Click here for more on the Bank levels. Authorised Users may create, modify or expire security Users.

Security Entry - Users is reached from the Main Menu, System → Security Entry → Users

This takes the user to the Security Entry - Users grid. For more on grid navigation, click here.

Special Filters

The Security Entry - User grid has special filter controls in the title bar.

  • Include Expired Records by default is unchecked. This means User records that have an Expiry Date prior to today are not displayed. When checked, all User records (including expired) are displayed. Effective and Expiry Dates

Context Options

Right-clicking on a row in the Security Entry - User grid will open a context menu.

Edit General and Login

Navigates to Security Edit General page where the user can maintain login information for the User record.

Edit Banks

Navigates to Security Edit Banks page where the user can maintain which Banks the User has permissions to.

Edit Forms

Navigates to Security Edit Forms page where the user can maintain which Forms (menu options) the User has permissions to.

Edit Roles

Navigates to Security Edit Roles page where the user can maintain which Roles the User is a member of.

Custom Fields

Navigates to Custom Fields page where the user can alter the custom field labels, for each bank and applicable screen.
