The Copyright general edit page allows users to edit general information for a Copyright record. Once changes are made the user can click the Save button in the bottom right hand corner to commit changes to the database. Note: User permissions might be restricted by Form permissions, Bank permissions (if in Bank Level 3 Banks and Bank Level) or the record being locked.

A graphic image of the copyright can be uploaded. Click the Select button.

This will open a file dialog. Select the file and click Open button.

The image file will be uploaded but will not preview yet.

To commit the uploaded image to the database click the Save button.

Once the image is saved it will display. Also, the Download button becomes enabled. The Download button can be used to pull a copy of the image locally to be viewed or maintained.

A graphic image for alternate languages of the copyright can be uploaded by selecting the alternate language from the Language selector in the title bar and repeating the process.

Tab Strip

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Copyright entry grid Selection, to the Notes and Custom page or Usage page. Audit will navigate to the Audit page and displays Audit information for the selected record.

Field Description
Copyright ID Will populate automatically when the Copyright is created. Unique identifier of the Copyright.
Description Description for the Copyright record.
Status Use the drop down to select a status. [Include info]
Copyright Date Valid Date for Copyright. This field is required and changes cannot be saved unless a value is specified.
Copyright Page Specific page or pages the copyright applies to
Instructions Instructions regarding the copyright. Rules around the use of the copyright.
Cost The cost associated with the copyright.
Release Information Information relating to the release of the copyright.
Effective Date By default, on most tools, only effective/non-expired records are available to be selected. Either to be edited or linked to another record. An effective record is a record with an Effective Date prior to today. By default, the Effective Date is set to the previous day on all newly created records. Effective and Expiry Dates

Owner Name of the individual or Company that owns the copyright.
GUID Global Unique Identifier
Public Domain Becomes public domain when “life of author plus 50 years or 50 years from publication (if author is unknown) is reached. (general rule).
Adaptation Indicates changes have been made to the original source.
Translation Translation of the original copyright was made.
Internet Use Can be posted to the internet.
Assess without Changes No changes were made to the original copyright.
Image Use to upload an image of the actual copyright document.
