The Reference general edit page allows users to edit general information for a Reference record. Once changes are made the user can click the Save button in the bottom right hand corner to commit changes to the database. Note: User permissions might be restricted by Form permissions, Bank permissions (if in Bank Level 3 Banks and Bank Level) or the record being locked.

Tab Strip

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Reference Entry grid Selection, to the Notes and Custom page or Usage page. Audit will navigate to the Audit page and displays Audit information for the selected record.

Reference Fields

Field Description
Reference ID Will populate automatically when the Reference is created. Unique identifier of the Reference.
Title The title of the reference material being added.
Reference Type ID Use the drop down menu to select the reference type. This can be a book, journal,periodical, etc.
External ID External ID's are used when mapping back and forth with other systems.
Volume Volume number for reference if applicable.
Edition Edition for reference if applicable.
ISBN International Standard Book Number is a unique numeric commercial book identifier.
HTML URL for website for reference, if applicable.
Effective Date By default, on most tools, only effective/non-expired records are available to be selected. Either to be edited or linked to another record. An effective record is a record with an Effective Date prior to today. By default, the Effective Date is set to the previous day on all newly created records. Effective and Expiry Dates
Expiry Date By default, on most tools, only effective/non-expired records are available to be selected. Either to be edited or linked to another record. An expired record is a record with an Expiry Date prior to today. By default, the Expiry Date is set to December 31, 2100 on all newly created records. Effective and Expiry Dates
Article Title of the article, if applicable to the reference.
Author Name 1 Author names for the reference. If there is more than one author use Author Name 2 and 3.
Publisher The references publisher, if applicable.
Publisher Place The publisher location.
Publisher Date The date of reference publication here. This field is required and changes cannot be saved unless a value is specified.
