The Item competency edit page allows users to maintain Competency links to the selected Item record. Competencies can be linked or removed. TDA can customize the Competency Types linked on this page.

Important: Competency changes are not applied until the Save button in the bottom right hand corner is clicked to commit changes to the database. Note: User permissions might be restricted by Form permissions, Bank permissions or the record being locked. Note: depending on system configuration this option may not be available.

Select a Competency

To select or change a competency, click the Select button to the right of the competency control.

This will open a Competency selector.

Select the Competency and click the Select button. This will close the Competency selector and display the selected Competency.

Clear a Competency

To clear a Competency, click the Clear button to the right of the competency control.

Tab Strip

The tab strip at the top of the page allows the user to go back to the Item entry grid Selection, to the Item Edit General page, to the Item Edit Text page, to the Item Edit Value page, to the Item Edit Reference page, to the Item Edit Meta page, to the Item Edit Attachment page, to the Item Edit Statistics page or Usage page. Audit will navigate to the Audit page and displays Audit information for the selected record. Note: depending on system configuration not all options are available.

Alternate Versions

If there are multiple versions of the Item, the user can navigate amongst them using the Select Version drop down in the blue info bar. See Versioning for more.
